# User Management

Administrators manage users and groups from the **User Management** section in the sidebar.

## Users tab

### Viewing users

The Users tab shows all users in your organization:

* **Name** and **email**
* **Role** (Admin or Member)
* **Status** (Active, Invited, Deactivated)
* **Last active** date

### Inviting users (SaaS)

In SaaS deployments, administrators invite users manually:

1. Click **Invite User**
2. Enter the user's email address
3. Select their role (Admin or Member)
4. Click **Send Invitation**

The user receives an email invitation to join the organization.

### Enterprise user provisioning

In enterprise deployments, users are provisioned automatically via Azure AD. When a user signs in with their corporate credentials for the first time, they are automatically added to the organization. Role assignments are mapped from AD groups or directory roles.

### Managing roles

To change a user's role:

1. Find the user in the list
2. Click the role indicator or edit action
3. Select the new role
4. Save the change

### Deactivating users

To remove a user's access:

1. Find the user in the list
2. Click the deactivate or remove action
3. Confirm

Deactivated users can no longer sign in or access any resources. Their conversation history is preserved.

## Groups tab

### Creating groups

1. Switch to the **Groups** tab
2. Click **Create Group**
3. Enter a group name and optional description
4. Click **Create**

### Managing group membership

1. Click on a group to open its details
2. Click **Add Members**
3. Search for and select users
4. Click **Save**

To remove a member, click the remove action next to their name in the group detail view.

### Enterprise: Azure AD sync

In enterprise deployments, groups are synced from Azure AD. Manually created groups can supplement AD groups, but AD-synced groups and their memberships are managed in Azure AD.
